Côte d’Azur: Follow the Mimosa Routes

We all love lavender and sunflowers – but one little yellow flower reveals itself at the French Riviera in late wintertime, when we need it the most: the mimosa.

From January to March, the Mediterranean coast boasts the most beautiful surprises. A perfumed surprise, bewitching and all dressed in gold and light, the blooming mimosa is a real enchantment!

From the Corniche des Maures to the Massif du Tanneron, from the Var to the Alpes-Maritimes, slopes, valleys, hills and gardens are covered with downy flowers.

To follow this road is to go through a world of colors and perfumes: the blue of the sky and the sea, the red ochre of the earth, an explosion of yellows and greens of the mimosa, all in the exhilarating scent of the acacias.

An itinerary of 130 kilometers and eight stages of wonders allow you to enjoy this enchanting spectacle. Everything starts of course in Bormes-Les-Mimosas where a famous flower parade is programmed each year in February where events or visits are offered along the route.

The mimosa route is the perfect opportunity to taste the beautiful winter of Provence through the forests and flowery gardens with a Mediterranean background.
